SECTION B -
ENROLMENT PROCEDURES |
KINDERGARTEN ENROLMENTS
Parents are requested to fill in enrolment forms and return them to the
school during the year before your child is due to be enrolled.
(Preferably by the month of June, if this is possible.)
Proof of age must be shown before a child can be accepted into a
Kindergarten class. Documentary evidence may be provided in any one of
these ways:
a) Birth Certificate (Extract copies are obtainable from the Department
of Births, Deaths and Marriages, by writing to the Registrar and
including payment of a fee. (Phone for details). Your child’s birth
certificate should be kept in a safe place so that it will be available
when needed again - e.g. for enrolment into community sporting teams.)
b) Immunization Record
c) In the case of migrants, Passport needs to be presented.
Children who will be five years of age before 1st August are able to
commence school at the beginning of the year.
Children who are five after 31st July must wait for enrolment in the
next year unless being enrolled early because of exceptional ability.
Immunization Certificates must also be presented before enrolment. (See
Page 10)
