Our school experienced rapid growth since its establishment in
1981 when the student population was 112. There was initial steady
growth with the student population stabilising and averaging 590. In 1989 and 2004, the student population exceeded 610 when the school
had four kindergarten classes. With the change of structure of class sizes in
Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2, the Department of Education and Planning
installed two new "permanent" classrooms (MDR) in 2004. Since then, the
student population has increased to 670
Despite the school's humble beginnings on an all-demountable site (1981-86),
there has been strong development of high academic standards, pride in the
school's achievements, pride in the school's appearance and magnificent
community involvement and support.
Kings Langley Public School can now be considered a showpiece for public
education. A new school with modern facilities was built at the current site in
1986. The buildings and surrounding grounds are attractive and
well-maintained. The school prides itself on further improvement to this
environment in order to provide the optimum learning conditions for its
students.
